The family had been sharing one vehicle prior to Noah’s diagnosis. The wear and tear of the lengthy commute resulted in their car being deemed unsafe to drive by a mechanic. The family borrowed a car as a short-term solution, but worried how they would pay for one of their own on top of the additional gas and food expenses.
