Andrew's Story

Andrew (10) was diagnosed with Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumors in November 2014.

After entering a “no evidence of disease” phase, his cancer returned in February 2017.

Andrew underwent a 12-hour surgery to remove over 420 tumors from his body. He then received 22 rounds of intense chemotherapy before shifting to a daily chemotherapy routine. In October 2018, Andrew made his school basketball team. By December 2018, he had entered hospice.

Andrew’s mom continued to work while Andrew received hospice care in order to make ends meet for the family.

In December 2018, Andrew gained his wings after a long and tough battle with his disease. Angels of Hope helped to lay Andrew to rest by paying his funeral home expenses.
