Liam Nicholls is four years old. He lives with his mom, Danielle, in Saline, Michigan.
As Danielle has shared with Angels of Hope, in August of 2016 Liam was treated for a six-week period of time for, what his pediatricians believed to be, a bowel obstruction. After six weeks of treatment, Liam was not responding to treatment. X-rays were taken and it was determined that Liam’s obstruction was, in fact, a cancerous mass. On August 15, 2016 Liam was diagnosed with Burkitt’s Lymphoma. He spent over three weeks in the hospital undergoing surgery and treatment.
Danielle was, of course, at her son’s side during every moment. She was required to take a leave of absence from her job and then on to short term disability, receiving only 50% of her normal income. At only 50% of her income she has been able to pay only the absolute necessities of Liam’s medical bills and expenses. They are currently living with Danielle’s parents and unable to contribute to the household expenses and barely able to make ends meet.
Angels of Hope will be assisting Danielle and Liam at this very difficult time, with their day to day expenses, while Liam continues his fight and Danielle cares for her son.
